This is the single privacy policy for Motivise on iOS and Android. Where the two platforms differ, the difference is stated explicitly — there is no separate Android policy.

Motivise has no accounts. You never sign up, and we never learn who you are. What follows is what the app actually does, including the parts that involve a server.

1. What we never collect

• No name, email address, phone number, password or login of any kind.
• No location, contacts, photos, calendar or files.
• No advertising identifiers, and no advertising.
• Nothing you write. Your journal entries, custom quotes, affirmations, vision boards, habits and mood check-ins are never transmitted to us.

We do not sell data to anyone, and there is no third-party advertising or tracking SDK in the app.

2. What stays on your device

Everything you create stays in app-private storage on your device: journal entries, custom quotes, affirmations, vision boards, habit logs, mood check-ins, streaks, preferences and voice notes. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Voice notes in the Gratitude Journal and Affirmations are recorded and stored on your device. Journal dictation is transcribed by the platform's own speech recognition (Apple's Speech framework on iOS, Android's speech recognizer), which may process the audio on Apple's or Google's servers under their privacy policies — we never receive it.

3. Optional cloud sync and backup

These are features of your phone, not of Motivise. We have no access to either.

• iOS — with iCloud enabled, your data syncs across your Apple devices through Apple's CloudKit. Disable in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud.
• Android — with Google Drive automatic backup enabled, Android may backup Motivise's data to your private Drive. Disable in Android Settings → System → Backup.

4. Usage analytics

Motivise sends anonymous product-usage events to help us understand which features are used and where people get stuck.

• Processor and location. Events go to PostHog, hosted in the European Union (eu.i.posthog.com), acting as our data processor.
• What is sent. The name of an action and a small amount of context about it — for example that a quote was viewed, a breathing session was completed, or onboarding finished. Counts and durations, never content. A shared quote sends that a share happened, not the quote.
